Meet Your Inspector

From the time you contact us, until the time your detailed inspection report is delivered, you will find that trust, passion and integrity is at the forefront of what we  stand for and strive to provide for every single person we work with.  Matt, your licensed home inspector, has been in the construction business in one fashion or another for more than 12 years. Having dutifully served his country for 13 years within the United States Navy, both as a builder in the Seabees and as a torpedoman on a submarine, he takes pride in his attention to detail and unwavering work ethic. Though he choose a career change that allows him more time at home with his wife and boys, his calling to serve and protect others is still very much at the heart of everything he does. 

Outside of Southern Legacy Home Inspections, Matt is also a superintendent building townhomes as well as single family homes. This provides him with a plethora of knowledge of the behind the scenes process into home builds that many other inspectors may not have.  That insight proves invaluable  during his inspection process and reporting. 

While it may appear as though work is all there is to our story, the truth is it all comes down to homes, both ours and yours, and the strong roots that we are planting! It is our family’s deepest desire to provide a firm foundation and lasting legacy for not just our own family, but also yours!  Whether you are already building your family, or your plans look different than ours, we can all relate to a longing for a safe place to call home and a desire to make an impact. As parents, and as a family, our legacy in which we leave with our boys is all rooted in the deep faith that our purpose is to love and serve others. We are small in numbers, but mighty in grit, determination and passion.
